Our story

About Dolove Doulas

Welcoming a new baby is a beautiful, life-changing moment — but it also brings big adjustments for the entire family. In those tender early weeks, extra gentle hands can make all the difference in a mother's recovery, emotional well-being, and the whole family's transition into their new normal.

Every baby is different, and through lived experience and years of hands-on work, I've learned soothing techniques, feeding strategies, and routines that work best for each little one. At Dolove Doulas we deeply respect cultural diversity and honor each family's unique traditions with care and mindfulness.

Meet Your Doula

Rudo Rachel Trish Maliro

I became a doula because I've always been drawn to supporting women during big life transitions — especially those early, raw weeks after birth when everything feels intense and new. With four years of experience, I'm patient, practical, and genuinely love helping new moms (and partners) feel less alone. No fluff — I show up calm, non-judgmental, and ready to meet you where you are. Live, love, pray is my vibe, and I bring that quiet strength to every family I support.

Common questions

Your questions, gently answered

What exactly does a postpartum doula do?

We provide hands-on, emotional, and practical support in those early weeks: feeding help, soothing the baby so you can rest, light household tasks like tidying or warming a meal, and gentle, non-judgmental listening. The goal is simple — for you to feel held while you find your footing.

How do hourly rates and packages work?

Daytime support starts at $35–$40/hour and overnight support is $45–$55/hour on a sliding scale. Request a value package to unlock built-in savings and continuity of care — we'll tailor it to your family's needs.

Do you support same-sex couples and diverse family structures?

Yes — absolutely. Dolove Doulas is a haven for all families. Two moms, two dads, single parents by choice, adoptive families, blended households — you're welcomed exactly as you are, with the same warm, professional care.

What areas do you serve?

We proudly serve the Greater Philadelphia area, including Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.

When should we book your services?

Most families reach out in the second or early third trimester to lock in dates, but we always try to make room for last-minute requests. If baby's already here, just send a note — we'll figure it out together.
